How does Secret™ DUO work?
Secret™ DUO brings RF microneedling and fractional non-ablative laser resurfacing together in a single platform. The two technologies work differently, allowing us to address multiple components of skin aging and damage.
Secret™ RF Microneedling uses fine needles to deliver controlled radiofrequency energy beneath the skin’s surface. This creates precise micro-injuries and controlled heating within the tissue, stimulating the body’s natural healing response and encouraging new collagen and elastin production. As remodeling occurs, the skin can gradually become firmer, smoother, and more refined.
The 1540 nm fractional laser creates microscopic treatment zones within the skin while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This stimulates additional collagen remodeling and skin renewal without removing the entire surface layer of the skin. It can help improve scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, pores, and uneven texture.

Am I a candidate?

Your candidacy depends on your skin type, treatment area, concerns, medical history, and desired level of correction. Dr. Kaga and our team will evaluate your skin and determine whether Secret™ DUO, Secret™ RF alone, the 1540 nm laser, or another treatment would be most appropriate.
What can I expect during treatments?
Before treatment, your skin will be prepared and a topical numbing agent may be used to improve comfort. At Dr. Kaga’s practice, we also offer additional comfort options when appropriate.
Treatment typically takes approximately 40 to 60 minutes depending on the size of the area and whether one or both Secret™ DUO technologies are being used.
After treatment, temporary redness, warmth, swelling, or sensitivity can occur. Your skin may look similar to a mild sunburn for the first day or two, although recovery varies depending on the treatment settings and your individual skin response.
When will I see results?
Because Secret™ DUO works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen remodeling process, results develop gradually. Some improvements in skin quality may become noticeable relatively early, while firmness, texture, scars, and other concerns can continue improving as new collagen develops.
A series of approximately three treatments spaced several weeks apart may be recommended, although your treatment schedule will depend on your skin and goals.
