Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a skin resurfacing technique that is used to remove vellus hair and get rid of dead skin.

During the treatment, a 10-gauge blade called a dermatome is used to remove vellus hair and slough off dead skin to reveal the dewy, luminous skin beneath.

The benefits of dermaplaning include eliminating fine vellus facial hair that traps oil and bacteria, correcting cystic acne scarring, minimizing fine lines, and promoting evenness and texture.

Dermaplaning is performed by a doctor or a medical aesthetician. We begin by gently cleansing and scrubbing the face to remove excess debris. A sterile dermatome is then used to remove the top layer of skin in a gentle sweeping motion.

The procedure takes about 20 minutes.

There no post-treatment care required for this treatment. It causes almost no redness or irritation.
