Skin Tightening

Skin Tightening
Skin Tightening

Loose, sagging, or drooping skin is a common complaint we hear from both men and women. Our practitioners use skin tightening as a way to improve your skin.

Procedure

Secret RF is the latest in anti-aging technology at the Kaga Institute that safely and effectively returns your skin to a more youthful state.
Secret RF uses ultrafine needles that gently puncture skin and deliver radiofrequency (RF) energy. As skin heals from these micro-injuries, collagen production soars, resulting in firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

Benefits

Secret RF uses a fractional RF technology to help minimize downtime and maximize results. Treating the entire area at once can lead to longer recovery, downtime, and possible post-treatment complications, but treating only a portion of the skin minimizes the risk of complications and allows the skin to recover quicker. Secret RF achieves the same effectiveness as a more invasive treatment, with fewer risks and less downtime.

Secret RF can be used to improve fine lines and wrinkles, as well as reducing pore size, acne scars, and stretch marks.

FAQs

Patients should avoid sun exposure, including tanning beds, 1 to 2 weeks prior to treatment. Patients should also avoid aspirin and over anti-inflammatory medications one week prior to treatment.

A topical anesthetic cream is applied to the area being treated. Once the anesthetic has taken effect, the microneedling device, outfitted with a cluster of needles, delivers several dozen pricks about three millimeters into the skin. The device also shoots radiofrequency energy into the skin, treating scars and wrinkles.

Each treatment zone lasts about 15 minutes.

Collagen production and thus skin remodeling is seen 4 to 6 weeks post-treatment. Most patients will see significant improvement after 4 to 6 treatments. While the results are long-lasting, they are not permanent, and the procedure may need to be repeated.

While a topical anesthetic cream is applied to numb the area, some patients do experience mild pain, particularly near the more sensitive areas like the hairline, mouth, and eyes.

There is no downtime after the treatment, but patients may see some redness and minor swelling in the days following.
