Botox® For Migraines

Although Botox® injections are used for a wide range of cosmetic reasons, Botox® injection can be hugely beneficial to people who have frequent headaches or migraines. Botox® is typically not recommended for patients who experience less than 15 headache days a month.

Procedure

Similar to other Botox® procedure, the injection is inserted around pain fibers that are involved in headaches. The nerve endings where it is injected will then block the release of chemicals involved in pain transmission.

Benefits

Botox® injections can help relieve migraines as well as soften frown lines, forehead lines, and crows feet.
